The Solace of Your Soul
![]() | The Solace of Your Soul | ||
Your pain becomes part of mine, As sure as the rain falls and is absorbed by the earth. My pain holds yours until it swells and runs over, Eroding the surface of my heart as it runs away. Your fear invades mine, As the thunder rumbles throughout my soul, And the lightening strikes within my sanity, My fear becomes one with yours. Your anger awakens mine, As the storm ravages the land, Unexpectedly removing all hopes of safety, My anger is born out of the shattered fragments of yours. Your loneliness touches the center of my heart, As a single blade of grass left standing in the field, Yielding not to the storm but bending with the gentleness of your touch, My loneliness yields not to your anger but dissolves within your heart. Your sadness calls to me, As the cry of the bird after the storm, Searching for the nest that no longer exists, My sadness searches for the solace of your soul. For the person responsible for getting me and keeping me on the path to recovery. May you find peace in your life. Thanks for all your help Bill, I'd still be lost if it wasn't for you.
